South Yorkshire Police Brass Band would like to hear from local musicians. We're looking for a back row cornet to complete our team, but vacancies for other instruments come up every now and again, so if you're interested, please get in touch. We are a 1st section band and enjoy a balanced range of engagements throughout the year. We're a friendly bunch and do not require you to audition formally, just come along to a rehearsal and we'll take it from there! This is an ideal promotion opportunity for a solo cornet from lower section. It would also suit a young musician who'd like the chance to play with an established brass band, or perhaps someone who would like to return to banding after a break. Over the years our players have ranged in age from 14 to 74 and the majority have no connection to the police. We rehearse Mondays and Thursdays 8pm at the Lifewise Centre in Hellaby (Jct 1 of the M18).
